Support for your child at Didsbury CE Primary School
At Didsbury CE, our aim is to help your child achieve the very best they can at school. We want everyone to feel that they belong to the school; we want everyone to believe in themselves and support each other; and we want everyone to become well-rounded individuals who achieve their best for society. To do this we work in close partnership with parents and carers - you know your child best and you may feel that your child requires additional help or support for some of their time at school. Not all children will need extra support with their learning but the progress of all children at Didsbury CE is monitored closely to ensure support is provided where necessary.
The SEND Information Report below will inform you of the types of support available for your child at Didsbury CE Primary School. This information will help you understand who can help and how the support can be accessed. The SEND Policy, also below, outlines in greater detail how we support pupils with SEND. Our SEND Identification Procedure will show you how staff identify children with additional needs and how this would be communicated to you.
If you have any concerns about your child or would like further information about any aspect of our SEND provision then please contact Ms Emilie Smith (Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator) via the school office on 0161 445 7144 or by email using the following address: email@example.com
This link will help you to find out more information on Manchester City Council's Local Offer. The Local Offer helps children and their parents to understand what services and support they can expect from a range of local agencies - including their statutory entitlements.
Additional support and independent advice for parents, children and young people can be obtained from the Information Advice and Support Service (previously the Parent Partnership Service) and they can be contacted on their confidential helpline 0161 209 8356 or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
